The Awakening is a gentle, playful journey rooted in The Artist’s Way, designed for women in the second half of life  reconnect with their creativity and inner wisdom. No experience needed – just curiosity, openness and a willingness to listen to what’s stirring inside.

We meet weekly to explore simple tools and soul-nourishing creative practices—all in a supportive, heart-centered community.

More About The Facilitator

Nancy Carbonaro is a soulful guide, artist, and lifelong seeker devoted to helping others live more creatively, courageously, and intentionally. Blending spirituality, art, and adventure, she brings an intuitive, empathic presence to all she does.

After leaving a successfulcorporate career, Nancy founded Carbonaro Photography, known for authentic, soul-filled portraits, fine art photography and created transformational workshops. Her work has earned national recognition and has been exhibited in galleries across the U.S.

In 2020, Nancy and her husband, Ted, sold their home and stepped into a nomadic, spirit-led life, traveling throughout the U.S., Canada, and Mexico. Today, they share their unfolding journey and guide others in creating their own brave “Journey into the Unknown.”

In 1996, I met Julia Cameron and Mark Bryan at a pivotal moment in my life. I enrolled in Mark’s in-person The Artist’s Way course while he was completing his Master’s at Harvard. I had no idea then how profoundly it would shape my creative path, reconnecting me to my intuition and artistry. Decades later, The Artist’s Way remains a trusted companion and a foundational influence in the work I share today.
